Spring Paintings

So my goal for the Spring group show was to do a series focusing on women. I finished two pieces.
The first, Window Seat, was named after Erykah Badu's video. It shows vulnerability and fearlessness as we continue to outgrow the expectations and boxes that people try to place us in. The second, Rest in Peace, is about being comfortable and cool. Going to that mental and relaxing safe haven. Check em:

LIVE PAINTING at CHE GRAND'S .99 CENTS PARTY

Last night was awesome. I painted live for the first time at Che Grand's annual hip hop show at Don Pedros, in Brooklyn. Yesterday, Guru, one of my favorite emcees and 1/2 of the legendary group GANGSTARR passed away after a long battle with cancer. I felt it only right to do a piece for someone who was monumental in my love for hip hop and jazz.

The different colored lights had the painting looking all sorts of crazed colors. Because the lights were never turned off I still dont know what the actual painting looks like. Nevertheless, it was a dope and unforgettable experience.

BZZ BZZ TWEET TWEET!! GROUP ART SHOW

My Howard University and DC family have been supporting me like crazy since I started this creative journey. Art is only as big as the community that supports it, so I figured I'd just give this growing community a bigger selection. I teamed up with four other homies/artists/superheroes to put on this bomb art show in DC on April 17th. We will be at {CR8} Space Gallery- 1314 9th NW (9th and N).

And bring your dancing shoes too. Dont say I didn't warn you. Lol.
