Sunday Morning on the Block

Sunday was pretty dope. I had a showing at my neighborhood tea lounge in Harlem, Tea and Things of That Kind. They have live gospel on sundays and some bomb smoothies. Having my work on display outside was a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. Who knows, I might be coming to a block near you some time soon.

Cookin in the Kitchen! Mother's Day addition

So the magic kept flowing the day of my sister's graduation. My live painting went so well, one of the homies, Yolanda, wanted me to do a piece for her place. How could I pass up another opportunity to bust out the paints in Greensboro? So, that night we take it back to my sister's kitchen and I get to work. The following is what happens over the next 5 hours. I finished some time around 2:30am Mother's Day morning.

LIL SIS GRADUATES AND I PAINT HER A PICTURE!

So it went down this weekend in honor of my baby sis graduating from Bennet College in Greensboro, NC. What better way to celebrate than with a live painting at her graduation party? It was a particulary dope session because I was able to paint along some great musicians who had my head boppin and feet tappin to the jazzy rhythms throughout the party. CONGRATULATIONS BROOKIE!
